I'm not a bassist, but this has slowly become my fave channel. It's just so feel good, so positive, and educational. Seeing the the pros put the pro in process is so much fun. And damn, Tim's seemingly effortless pocket from the get go. What a bass player.
I like how Tim shows making errors is just part of the process, don't get phased, move on, keep playing, it'll come. Great for new players to see
Every time he played another round it got exponentially absolutely amazing skill.
Tim’s playing, and approach, is so inspiring.
This is what professionalism and top talent looks like.
This is why everybody loves Tim! Even that chorus play along 01:08 on the first listen 🤯
Tim is so good. One of the very best, and he’s so versatile. He has such a great ear for pop, he’s equally just as comfortable with more left-field/avant garde stuff, and all points in between ain’t too shabby either! The best of the best…
I love just 'playing along' to pop, it just opens the mind to simple melodies. Tim just looked like he was having a blast, cause he probably was. 'they'll cut most of this out' lol
Loving this content of getting bass players to play songs they’ve never heard! More please
What I love about Tim is he has monster chops, but his choices are so musical, and he's effortlessly funky. One of my fave bassists! 😎
This is excellent. As a bassist who is often stepping in to provide lines for other people's songs, I REALLY love this video and Tim goes at it just how I would. The feel in his playing is marvellous.
Ever since I happened across the T&T Band Tiny Desk concert I've been obsessed with Tim. Seeing him interact with the band in real time. Laying amazing grooves. I'm such a fan!
That B string is out of this world on the LEH
as a bassist who loves kpop, i absolutely LOVED this video. if you are gonna do more of these, you should check out "Dynamite" by the same artists, BTS. its got some really groovy bass innit
Tim: how are we gonna catch up to the synth bass thingy? Ian: @10:15 behold! the majestic HX Stomp
Enjoy hearing these challenges. The bass part always seems to be the most interesting to me.
I am a simple man. I see Tim Lefebvre, I click.
Wow, I know Tim is well regarded as a player, but he slayed on this way harder than I thought he would. Fantastic groove and phrase instincts, and man he's getting a stunning sound out of that bass! Those low notes are punchy as hell and those little octave finger pops are nice and spanky. Yeesh!
When he first started I was thinking I can do that. Then Tim got better and better. There is a reason why he is so in demand. I am happy to hear Tim on a souped up Jazz 5 string. That's what I play and even though I own P Basses, I never take them to a gig. To me they are much to limited.
